Sky, Water, Earth is about following your passion, building competencies valued by employers, and preparing yourself for a career in the sciences. As you complete the learning playlists of your choice, you will earn the associated badges as well as points you can use towards redeeming a real-world opportunity

A learning playlist is a sequence of activities for you to complete

Below is what a playlist looks like. Each node (called an "XP")  is an activity for you to complete. Once you complete all the XPs in a playlist, you will be awarded the playlist badge and the points associated with the badge.

Each badge is worth a certain number of points. Take a look at which real-world opportunities are available for redemption and how many points are required.

These opportunities are limited in quantity and some are offered at a specific time. If there is a specific reward you have your eyes on, be sure to earn enough points before someone else claims the opportunity.

FAQ

  1. What will I learn from Sky, Water, Earth?

    • The playlists in Sky, Water, Earth are focused on building career competencies of Networking, Communication, Result Orientation, and/or Creative Thinking. Each of the activities are designed to help you develop these competencies, learn about science in the real world, and understand how to present your experiences on a resume or in an interview.

  2. How much time will it take?

    • It depends on how many playlists you complete and which playlists you choose to complete. The playlists vary in total length. A playlist is a collections of XPs (learning experiences). Each XP ranges from 5 minutes to write an introduction, 7 minutes to watch a video, to a few hours to volunteer. You can complete some of the XPs whenever you have some time - waiting for the bus or during a school holiday.
